Step 1
Select "Passkey" as your 2-Step Verification Method.
Step 2
A window will appear prompting you to "Create a New Passkey". You can choose to "Create on this device" or "Use another device or security key".
Note: You can use your mobile device to create passkey by selecting "Use another device or security key" option.
Create on this device
Instructions for using the "Create on this device" option to set Passkey on Windows 11.
Step 1
Your device should prompt you to "Save your passkey" for your ISL Online user. Click "Continue".
Step 2
Your device should prompt you for authentication. In our case in this example, our Windows Hello is setup to use PIN, so we must enter the PIN to continue.
Step 3
The webpage should be shown again, and you will be asked to "Name your passkey". Enter a Name so you can identify this passkey later, then press "Done".
Step 4
The passkey has now been created and is ready to use!
Use another device or security key
Instructions for using the "Use another device or security key" option to set Passkey.
Step 1
By default, Windows will ask you to "Insert your security key into the USB port". If you want to use a Security key, you can insert it to a USB port on your computer and it will proceed to Step 5. Alternatively, if you wish to use your iPhone, iPad or Android device to create your Passkey, you can click "Change".
Step 2
This step is only required if you wish to use your iPhone, iPad, or Android device to create your passkey. You can click the option "iPhone, iPad, or Android device" to continue.
Step 3
Scan the QR code with your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. In this example, we will use an iPhone.
Step 4
On the iPhone, iPad, or Android device, you should be prompted to add the passkey, and authenticate. In this case, on the iPhone we tap "Add Passkey" and complete FaceID authentication.
Step 5
The webpage should be shown again, and you will be asked to "Name your passkey". Enter a Name so you can identify this passkey later, then press "Done".
Step 6
The passkey has now been created and is ready to use!
