Completely Uninstall ISL AlwaysOn

Windows

  1. Remove granted user connections. Here you have two different options depending on how you want to execute the uninstall procedure.
    • Standard: Uninstall ISL AlwaysOn (Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> uninstall ISL AlwaysOn). Or run unins000.exe executable from ISL AlwaysOn installation directory. GUI is shown and granted connections are removed in the Grids that have the clean_connections option enabled (option is described in this topic).
    • Silent: To allow for backwards compatibility the silent uninstall requires two steps.
      1. Run the ISL AlwaysOn main executable with administrative privileges and the following command line parameters: /verysilent and clean. This will remove the granted connections in the Grids that have the clean_connections option enabled (option is described in this topic). Example:
        • C:\Program Files (x86)\ISL Online\ISL AlwaysOn\ISLAlwaysOn.exe /verysilent clean
      2. Run the uninstaller with administrative privileges and with the /VERYSILENT command line - this will uninstall ISL AlwaysOn without showing any GUI.
        • C:\Program Files (x86)\ISL Online\ISL AlwaysOn\unins000.exe /VERYSILENT
    • Navigate to C:\Program Files(x86)\ISL Online\
    • Delete the folder ISL AlwaysOn
    • Press Win + R (run) and run "regedit"
    • Delete the registry folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ISL Online\ISL AlwaysOn
    • Delete the registry folder: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ISL Online\ISL AlwaysOn
    • The computer now has all traces of ISL AlwaysOn removed.
    • If you would also like to remove common ISL Online entries (they apply to all ISL Online products, such as the grid id, protocol versions and keys), you can remove the appropriate keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ISL Online\Grid\ISL Online Network

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ISL Online\Grid\ISL Online Network

Note: Replace "ISL Online Network" above with the appropriate value for your case - it will be your server's installation name, your server's DNS address or your server's IP address.
