File Transfer

 

Actions performed through File Manager are recorded in the Eventlog. From the Eventlog window, the remote user can also grant or revoke permission to access files on their computer.

Send Files

Step 1

Click the File Transfer icon and select Send Files from the dropdown menu. 

Step 2

In the dialog box, select the files you want to send, then click Open.


Receive Files

Step 1

Click the File Transfer icon and select Receive Files from the dropdown menu.

Step 2

In the dialog box, select the files you want to receive, then click Open.

Step 3

A dialog will appear while the file transfer is taking place, and let you know the status. Once it's completed, you can choose to do one of the following: 

  • Save
  • Open Folder
  • Cancel

You can check "Don't ask me again" if you wish to automatically use the same option in the future. If you wish to adjust the behaviour in the future, you can do so in ISL Light Client settings (File Transfer settings).

Eventlog

Step 1

Click the File Transfer icon and select Event Log from the dropdown menu.

Step 2

The remote user can review which files have been transferred, opened, or modified during the session.


Grant or Revoke File Transfer Permission

The remote user can grant or revoke the operator’s permission to use File Manager at any time by opening the File Transfer menu and selecting the corresponding option.
