All updates have release date set to 2026-01-26. Your ESS will need to be same or higher to be able to update your server. This release is available to all countries except Japan.

IMPORTANT:
- Minimal operating system requirement on Windows for ISL AlwaysOn application was raised from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
- Minimal operating system requirement for ISL AlwaysOn on macOS was raised to macOS 14.
- Minimal operating system requirement for ISL AlwaysOn on Linux was raised to require glibc 3.25.
- New ISL AlwaysOn permissions were added to macOS 26 or later. Customers upgrading to macOS 26 will have to grant the new permission in order for the application to work correctly.

In the ISL AlwaysOn installation folder a new file called connection_keys was added, which holds certificates that are used to establish a secure connection with ISL Conference Proxy. For now this file is not used.

Description
ISL AlwaysOn programs now sends disable_audio_call and disable_video_call state to the operator side. This allows the audio and video buttons to be hidden on operator side while connecting to an unattended computer.

Description
The macOS daemon updates are now serialized. Before the deamon could be removed from settings or from uninstall/install. Additionally the log files for command install and uninstall were moved to a new log file called aon_update.out. The ISL AlwaysOn service update is now performed in separate process.
The main issues solved are:
- parallel install of launch daemon/agents is now serialized/atomic (ISL AlwaysOn and ISL Light restart&resume)
- update of service in ISL AlwaysOn is now performed in separate process
Both were root cause for unreliable installations of ISL AlwaysOn.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Kill loginwindow if launch agent does not start (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-2021] More
Description
Users experienced an issue with macOS booting after installing ISL AlwaysOn. The issue was in killing of loginwindow process. ISSC daemon will on system start kill of loginwindow if it detects that the issc daemon agent was not started. This was needed because MacOs has a bug bootstrapping launchagents into loginwindow. Workaround (kill loginwindow) is problematic because it is time sensitive and does not work 100%. Another change was made to install/uninstall agents when installation of main service is done and it's no longer during service start/stop. Now operating system is responsible for restarting of agents and manage their lifetime.
The defect was fixed.
ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - AutoTransport send correct SNI with IP hint (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-2022] More
Description
AutoTransport https-direct and wsstun-direct will send correct hostname SNI when using IP hint. httpt-direct and wstun-direct will set correct hostname in Host header instead of IP hint.
The defect was fixed.
ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Run ISL AlwaysOn daemon agent from .app folder on macos 26.0 and later (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-2024] More
Description
Users on macOS 26 experienced an issue where they could not grant permissions for screen sharing and accessibility ( ability to control remote computer ). ISL AlwaysOn now uses launch agents that is inside .app folder. This resolves the issue with granting of permissions. Users will however need to grant new permission to this new process.
The new root bundle id is now: com.islonline.islalwayson.agent.
This change only affects users running macOS 26, on older versions of macOS previous implementation is used.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Make ISL AlwaysOn installer on macos non-relocatable (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-2025] More
Description
Installation procedure of ISL ALwaysOn was changed for macOS devices. The bundles are now non-relocatable, before package-kit might wrongly identify existing binaries on disk which could result the installation to fail. Additionally uninstall was also modified, the executable store_product_flags is now also removed during uninstall.
The defect was fixed.
ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Make logfile changes atomic (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-2027] More
Description
In ISL AlwaysOn installation directory users might have found files starting with @. The issue was that log file changes were not atomic and use of use-after-free caused the file creation. Log file changes are now atomic and those files should no longer be created.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Update visuals on ISL AlwaysOn for Windows QT 6 (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-2029] More
Description
After updating ISL AlwaysOn to use QT 6 the windows of ISL AlwaysOn application looked outdated. The looks and feel was adjusted by using QT modernstyle. Additionally support for dark mode was disabled on all platforms.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Disable doubleconversion and ICU packages on Linux (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-2032] More
Description
After migrating the application to use QT 6, users on Ubuntu 22.04 and Ubuntu 24.04 ( and Debian 12,13 ) were unable to install the application. The use of ICU package was removed (package is used for sorting and string formatting) - instead it's now using default system settings. Doubleconversion package is now using static linking. Users are now able to correctly install the application.
The defect was fixed.
ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Fix flags dialog on QT 6.0 (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-2033] More
Description
The style of window where you can control which flags ( functionalities ) are enabled was having an outdated look. The windows style was adjusted to the modern window.

Description
In the innosetup installer for ISL AlwaysOn application the minimal operating system requirement was raised to Windows 10. Users running installer on older versions of operating system will receive an error.
