ISL Light Desk 4.4.2332.44 and ISL Light Client 4.4.2332.44 for Windows (2024-03-28)

• ISL Light Client 4.4.2332.44 for Windows (release_date=2024-03-27 , build=e25e38d75312074bf2e29c347c299049ed99922b, platform=win32,os_version=0x6010000-0x7fffffff)

All updates have release date set to 2024-03-27. Your ESS will need to be same or higher to be able to update your server. This release is available to all countries except Japan.

Improvements

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Georeconnect for Single Address GRID (FEATURE) [ISLLIGHT-6596] More

Description

Several changes were implemented to allow optimizing client connections in single address GRIDs where client DNS servers do not properly transfer client's IP address to ISL Conference Proxy (ICP):
"Check-Address: 1" header will be sent to ICP when doing geo reconnect to notify ICP that geo reconnect with server address in "Address-Reconnect" is supported
"Service-Reconnect: 1" header will be sent to ICP when doing service reconnect to notify ICP that service reconnect with geo reconnect is supported
"Address-Reconnect" response header will be handled as the new server address in the reconnect service reconnect and geo reconnect are now combined into the same event and executed at the same time:
- update service address in configuration, then
- reconnect to new server address

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Update libdatachannel defaults - mtu and timeout to improve direct connection (FEATURE) [ISLLIGHT-6597] More

Description

Libdatachannel used for establishing direct connections was updated in order to improve the direct connections. MTU size was changed from 1400 bytes to 1200 bytes, connect timeout was raised from 20 seconds to 35 seconds and direct connection is automatically disabled when operating system's network start reports that packet are to big - related to our selection of MTU size. Logs are also improved and show a log line when ISL Conference Proxy has direct connections disabled or when direct connections fail to gather the external address. Metrics were also updated in order to show issues with establishment of direct connections.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Revert v3 crash agent and split Client and Desk binaries (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-6588] More

Description

In previous version of ISL Light Desk or ISL Light Client the crash agent was incorrect. If the application crashed, the log of the crash along with user agent string is sent to ISL Conference Proxy. The agent was ISL-Light-v3 instead of actual name of the crashing application. Sending of crashes was redesigned, the correct user agent string is now sent, ISL-Light-Desk/version for the ISL Light Desk and ISL-Light-Client/version for the ISL Light Client application.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Enable direct connection setting text is split into multiline in certain languages and not displayed in full (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-6594] More

Description

In certain languages the setting Enable direct connection was split into multiple lines. The text was thus cutoff since it only expected single line. Setting was redesigned, the text is now correctly displayed even in languages that have multiple lines of text.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Fix wrong ram info on windows (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-6601] More

Description

When connected to ISL Light Client on Windows and checking the system information window in certain cases the RAM usage and RAM size was showing incorrect values. Checking of RAM size and usage was redesigned, the correct values should be displayed.

The defect was fixed.
