ISL Light 4.0.2 with desktop plugin 1.4.12 and remote printing plugin 1.4.0 for Windows (2016-01-29)

General Information

On 29th of January the following was released:

• ISL Light Desk 4.0.2 for Windows (release_date=2015-06-17, revision=44416, platform=win32,os_version=0x5010000-0x7fffffff)
• ISL Light Client 4.0.2 for Windows (release_date=2015-06-17, revision=44416, platform=win32,os_version=0x5010000-0x7fffffff)
• Desktop Control plugin 1.4.12 for Windows (release_date=2015-06-17,revision=44416,platform=win32)
• Remote Printing plugin 1.4.0 for Windows (release_date=2015-06-17,revision=44416,platform=win32)

All updates have release date set to 2015-06-17. Your ESS will need to be same or higher to be able to update your server. This release is available to all countries except Japan.

Important: In order to share your printer with remote Windows XP user, that user needs to be logged in as administrator.

Improvements

ISL Light - Desktop - Reported increased number of locked accounts due to failed logins (INCIDENT) [ISLLIGHT-2792] More

Description

Users may have experienced two issues in ISL Light application when using one-time password:

- Each login with incorrect username or password resulted in two login tries on server

- Password was remembered if user selected Remember password option when obtaining session code

Login procedure was redesigned and each incorrect login will no longer make two failed logins on server.

Password is no longer remembered even if user selects the remember password checkbox ( only in one-time password ).

The defects were fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Give option to user to leave the light session open after RDP was terminated aka allow restart resume in RDP (FEATURE)  [ISLLIGHT-1457] More

Description

With previous version of ISL Light Desk/Client users were unable to enable restart and resume mode if connected to existing RDP session. Restart and resume functionality was redesigned, users are now able to enable restart and resume mode also in RDP session, users will receive warning and after confirming it, restart and resume will be enabled.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - switch to mbedtls library (FEATURE) [ISLLIGHT-3163] More

Description

ISL Light is now using mbed TLS library instead of PolarSSL library.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Input for username and password is limited - cannot enter full username/password (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-2789] More

Description

Users who had long domain name and long username were unable to Log in ISL Light Desk due to username and password character limitation ( could not enter full username ). The limit on username and password was removed, the input is now scroll-able, so users are able to enter full username.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Set Window Topmost checkbox does not work (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-2790] More

Description

Users were unable to deselect Set Window Topmost in ISL Light Desk or ISL Light Client application. This forced the application to be always on top of other windows. Set Topmost functionality was redesigned, users can now deselect this option thus ISL Light window can be positioned behind other windows.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Program name in settings dialog is incorrect (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-2795] More

Description

ISL Light Desk or ISL Light Client had incorrect name in settings dialog of the application. The name was set to only ISL Light instead of ISL Light Desk or ISL Light Client. Settings window was redesigned and is now showing correct name of the application.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Custom skin will result in hidden logo and visible plugin buttons (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-2849] More

Description

Users may have experienced broken layout and additional buttons inside ISL Light application when using custom skin. Support for custom skin was redesigned, custom skin should be shown correctly without additional buttons.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4/v3 - Show dialog is shown on client side even though automatic screen sharing is set (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-2854] More

Description

In some cases when connecting with a client and a customization is set for the session ( automatic start of desktop streaming on client side ) the client did not work as expected. Show dialog was shown and streaming of client started. Pressing on show dialog stopped the screen sharing. The issue was in timing, additional timeout for desktop show request was added and should eliminate double requests.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - running from mapped drive will fail desktop sharing (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-2880] More

Description

Users who started ISL Light from mapped drive were unable to start desktop sharing. Support for running ISL Light application from mapped drives was redesigned and desktop sharing should start normally.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - ISL Light Client 4.0.1 does not start if you have an SOD dialog specified (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-2969] More

Description

Some SOD dialogs caused the crash of ISL Light 4.0.1 on startup. Problem was in functionality that handles SOD dialogs. This error is now fixed and SOD dialogs should not cause the crash of ISL Light application on startup.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Simplify remote printing procedure (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-3092] More

Description

Installing remote printer when connected to remote computer was very complex and included a lot of steps to successfully install it. Installation of remote printer was redesigned and simplified.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Windows Intel tablets will not detect screen orientation change (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-3122] More

Description

Users connecting to Windows tablets could not see the remote desktop correctly in case the user on the remote side rotated the device. Support for rotating device screen was added to ISL Light application and users should now see the remote screen correctly regardless of the orientation of device.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Possible crash when opening settings of ISL Light (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-3154] More

Description

In rare occurrences users may experience crash of ISL Light Desk/Client application after opening and closing settings window. Settings were redesigned, application should not longer crash.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - Program reports wrong Windows version on Windows 10 (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-3162] More

Description

ISL Light Desk/Client reported incorrect version of operating system to ISL Conference Proxy. Version check on Windows 10 was redesigned, ISL Light Desk/Client application now sends correct version of operating system on Windows 10.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v3 - ISL Light crashed after closing session (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-3200] More

Description

In some cases ISL Light Desk/Client application crashed after closing session. The issue was in unloading of internal libraries. The procedure for closing session was redesigned, the application no longer unloads internal libraries.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop - Issc quality settings are not used when showing desktop on desk side (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-3233] More

Description

In case ISL Light Desk was streaming it's desktop the command line parameter for changing color did not take affect. Streaming from ISL Light Desk side was redesinged, the parameters now affects color quality of streaming desktop.

Example command line: --on-connect "desktop?show&color=64k"

The defect was fixed.
