Improvements

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Add support for inviting external operators (FEATURE) [ISLLIGHT-5975] More

Description

Support for inviting guest operators was added. Invite/transfer dialogs were also unified and updated. Invite operator dialog was extended with options where invite can be modified: - disable mouse and keyboard - require consent to join from operator - allow guest mode (set invited guest operator name).

 Email and link option are both available in the same dialog. Copy URL works same as before. When "Require consent to join from operator" is set an invited operator is trying to join session, original operator gets prompted by popup if he allows user to join. Original operator can deny or allow join, denying will effectively revoke this invite and action cannot be reverted. Invitations can be created from session window and from session list in the sessions dashboard.

ISL Light can now join sessions through session invites. New command line arguments were introduced:
--join-invite ####: is used to provide session invitation ID to be used
--skip-login: only works in combination with -join-invite and when provided login step will be skipped and waiting/joining to session page is shown, dashboard and some additional functionality is disabled because user is not authenticated.

New user flow was added to ISL Light when --join-invite is provided. User is redirected to waiting screen where he waits for original operator to allow him to join session or session is created automatically when confirmation is not required. Each invite can only be used once, already used invitations will result in error shown on waiting screen, same if the original operator rejects joining.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Expose additional session info and handle invited/guest operators (FEATURE) [ISLLIGHT-5985] More

Description

Session invites are now shown in session list. Invites have offline icon and status "Waiting for Operator". Invites are stacked below (hierarchy) original session, same as are all sessions that attached to this session. Hierarchy is flat, only one level. Also connected operator is now shown on active/connected sessions.
IP address is now shown in separate column.
Columns can also be hidden/shown (right click on header of the table) same as in Computers tab.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Switch to new rpc for joining session invite (FEATURE) [ISLLIGHT-6106] More

Description

When ISL Light is launched with command line argument --join-invite the communication between the application and the server uses new RPC.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Fix the file transfer state in Eventlog when transfer is cancelled (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-6079] More

Description

In File manager incorrect images were displayed when a transfer was not completed, either due to conflict or permission issue. The images were replaced with the correct ones, which should correctly show the state of transfer.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Close the native menu when the connected Button component is destroyed (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-6082] More

Description

Users experienced crash of ISL Light application while opening context menu. The issue was that in some cases a change in active session occurred when the context menu was open and that functionality was not available anymore due to change in session. Handling of opened context menus was redesigned, application should not crash anymore.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Invite operator does not work on old ICP with guest operator functionality disabled (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-6104] More

Description

In case new version of ISL Light was used with server that was not updated to latest version, the session invitation did not work correctly. ISL Light application now checks if ISL Conference Proxy supports the new or the old implementation and generates the invitation accordingly.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Update invitation options before sending mail (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-6113] More

Description

Users sometimes experienced an issue where they would receive an error about session invitation data not being retrievable. The invitation functionality was redesigned to now apply the invitation settings before sending invitation email. Users will no longer receive the mentioned error.

The defect was fixed.
